Construction:

The top is worked from the top down.

You begin by knitting the back piece flat in stockinette stitch, shaping the arm openings with increases.

Stitches are then picked up along the cast-on edge of the back piece to form the right and left front pieces. Each front piece is worked separately in stockinette stitch, with increases for the arm openings and additional increases to shape the neckline.

The back and front pieces are then joined. The front opening is worked flat in stockinette stitch. When the opening reaches the desired size, stitches are cast on at the center front and the body is worked in the round.

Waist decreases are worked at the sides, followed by increases, before continuing straight to the desired length.

The bow detail is created by crocheting a cord along the opening edge and tying it into a bow.

The arm openings are shaped by picking up stitches around the armhole and working short rows.
